By creating an account or using cinefiled you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. We may update these terms from time to time; if we make a material change we will ask you to accept the new version before you continue.

2. Your account

You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your password secure. Provide accurate information, and do not share your account or impersonate another person.

We may approve, limit, suspend, or disable accounts at our discretion, including to protect the community and the quality of the catalogue.

3. Your contributions

cinefiled is built from contributions by its users, including release details, credits, labels, notes, comments, and images. You are responsible for what you submit. Only submit information and images you have the right to share, and do your best to keep them accurate.

You retain ownership of what you contribute. By submitting content you grant cinefiled a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to host, store, reproduce, adapt, display, and distribute it as part of the service, including as part of the public catalogue and its edit history.

Contributions may be reviewed, edited, merged, reverted, or removed by moderators and administrators.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to: submit unlawful, infringing, misleading, or abusive content; harass other users; attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or other accounts; scrape or copy the catalogue at scale without permission; interfere with the operation of the service; or use the service to spam or defraud others.

5. Collections, wantlists, and profiles

Your collection, wantlist, and profile information may be visible to other users according to your settings. Do not include sensitive personal information in your profile.

6. Marketplace

Buying and selling features may be added in the future and may be subject to additional terms. Nothing on the site today is an offer to sell or a guarantee about the condition, authenticity, or value of any release.

7. Intellectual property

Film titles, artwork, logos, and trademarks referenced on cinefiled belong to their respective owners and appear for identification and cataloguing purposes. The cinefiled name, logo, and software belong to cinefiled. If you believe content on the site infringes your rights, let us know and we will review it.

8. Disclaimers

The service and the catalogue are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. Catalogue information is community-contributed and may be incomplete or inaccurate. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, cinefiled and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the service.

You may stop using cinefiled at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms or to protect the service. Content you have contributed to the catalogue may remain after your account is closed.

cinefiled is under active development. Features may change or be removed at any time. Continued use after a change to these terms means you accept the updated terms.
